Kathryn has had dogs all of her life, and currently owns a Golden Retriever. She has been involved with various rescues since 2002, and for 10 years was heavily involved in” front line” rescue where she gained “real life” experience.
She has worked helping to assess dogs before they go to their new home, doing home assessments, and re-homed hundreds of dogs.
She was always interested in how a dogs mind worked, and the training methods used in teaching dogs. After completing her written training course with the ADTB, she travelled out of town to attend weekly training classes, and passed a practical assessment, in order to gain the “Accredited Gold Level Instructor” status.
Kathryn is a member of the Pet Professional Guild (British Isles), the National Register of Dog Trainers & Behaviourists, has gained the ISCP Basic Dog Behaviour Award, Sarah Whiteheads “Think Dog” certificate, and has recently completed two Ian Dunbar “Sirius” Dog Training Courses.
